Classic routes like the Druk Path and Snowman Trek traverse high passes, alpine lakes, and ancient caravan trails through areas rarely seen by outsiders. Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive Paro — Trek Preparation
Gear check, briefing with head guide, packing mules/horses. Acclimatisation walk around Paro.

Day 2: Paro to Jangchu Lakha (3,410 m)
Trek begins through Blue Pine forest; first campsite with valley views. 4–5 hours walking.

Day 3: Jangchu Lakha to Jimilang Tsho (3,870 m)
Climb through rhododendron and oak forest to a beautiful alpine lake. 5–6 hours.

Day 4: Jimilang Tsho to Simkota Tsho (4,010 m)
Pass a second glacial lake; possible yak encounters. 5 hours.

Day 5: Simkota Tsho to Phajoding (3,640 m)
Descent through juniper forest arriving at the Phajoding monastery complex above Thimphu.

Day 6: Phajoding to Thimphu
Final descent into Thimphu valley. Trek completion ceremony and hot shower at city hotel.

Day 7: Rest Day in Thimphu
Optional city sightseeing; leg recovery and debrief over dinner.

Day 8: Return to Paro — Departure
Transfer to Paro airport.
